Delby is 6, he is a springer spaniel. Whenever my husband goes out of the house, Delby cries for him. Earlier this year Alan had to go in hospital for 9 weeks. he went in an ambulance. Delby never cried for him once in all that time. He was good as gold for me & on the green, he never ran away, & obeyed my signals etc. I was sat sobbing one day, & he lay near my feet, put his paws over his eyes, as if sharing my sadness. He was a real comfort to me. Alan & I have been married nearly 50 years, so I really needed Delby at that sad time. I think Delby is special. He is a rascal. Now he doesnt take any notice of me. Only his Daddy counts again.
